Head of software

Matthew was working in the software industry for over three decades before he joined us in 2021. As our Head of Software, he is responsible for the overall software strategy and delivery, covering both on-device control and supporting the design and data-analysis applications.

"In my role we take the research and use that to continually improve our technology. This is why I wanted to study physics; to research and discover new things, and then put them into practice."

Lucy

Physicist

Lucy, one of our physicists, has been with Lightcast since 2022 and is a part of the Chip Fabrication team. Lucy views her role as a mix, as she supports chip fabrication but is also involved with performing aspects of the research.

"Everyone here looks out for each and I feel very well looked after by my team, my manager, and HR. The opportunity for coaching to support my career development is also very important."

Marjan

IT Support Technician

This is Marjan's first professional role since completing his BEng in Computer Science. As a critical part of the IT team, he helps to maintain our internal infrastructure and provides ongoing support to end users within Lightcast.

Team Lead

Patricia began her Lightcast career as a Senior Research Biologist before moving into a Team Leader position.

You also get to work on a lot of different things, so there is always something new to learn.”

Tilemachos

Senior Chemist

Tilemachos joined Lightcast in August 2022. He has a background in Chemical Biology, which he feels enables him to act as a "translator" between the chemistry and biology teams.
